But, what about my ear. Is it…pretty?
The Bazar book of Decorum
The Historical Reproductions store on amazon.com is a great place to uncover and laugh at old timey things. I like the snooty 1870 gem The Bazar book of decorum. The care of the person, manners, etiquette, and ceremonials. (Those aren’t grammar mistakes, that’s how they used to punctuate before the much-loved MLA Handbook- ugh-). Sample chapters include: “The Ear- How to make it beautiful”, “Too much hair”, and “The success of ugly men”.
